"At 12 years old, my school provided me the opportunity to gain some volunteer experience of my choosing. I chose to volunteer at a local hospital. As soon as I walked into the hospital my soul felt like it was "home"; to this day it still does.
I quickly developed a drive to understand the inner workings of the body with the goal of easing the pain of the patients at the hospital. I originally pursued medical school, but switched to nursing in order to graduate sooner. I miss working in the hospital everyday; my soul always smiled when I was able to make an impact in a patient's life. Even if that impact was something as simple holding a patient's to ease their mind as they passed."
